It is an important page for Liverpool but also for the Premier League which will turn at the end of the season. After 8 years at the club, Jurgen Klopp will leave the Mersey club in a few weeks.

The German coach will take a sabbatical year before perhaps relaunching himself on a new project.

The current Scousers boss left his mark on Liverpool where he won all the biggest trophies with the exception of the Europa League. The 56-year-old left his mark on his players but also on his various opponents.

In comments reported by the Daily MailManchester City attacking midfielder Phil Foden spoke about the Reds legend and did not hide his disappointment at seeing the former Borussia Dortmund leave.

“It’s a shame that Jürgen Klopp is leaving. He was brilliant. Facing your team is not easy. He changed Liverpool and it’s sad to see him go. I always want to play against the best,” he admitted.

Goodbye to the title of champion?

Jurgen Klopp and all the people of Liverpool dream that the love story between the two parties ends with a title of champion of England. But it seems more and more complicated. The Reds are gradually losing ground in this 3-way fight with Arsenal and Manchester City.

Provisionally second in the standings with 74 points behind Arsenal who have 77, the Reds should a priori find themselves in third place. Indeed, Manchester City, which is two matches behind, is only one length behind Liverpool.

Klopp’s men had a bad operation this Wednesday by losing to Everton in the Mersey derby (2-0). The second league title of the Klopp era is slipping away…
