According to GIVEMESPORT, Manchester United are compiling scouting reports on Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee.

He is probably a more affordable target for the club than players like Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen.

This season, Erik ten Hag’s choices for attacking players are limited because his only two natural centre-forwards are Rasmus Hojlund and Anthony Martial.

Due to injuries to Martial and Hojlund, Omari Forson and Marcus Rashford have occasionally filled key duties; therefore, the arrival of a third striker might be extremely advantageous for the Red Devils.

Since Kane and Osimhen are likely to impede Hojlund’s growth, United are wary of impeding his advancement in an effort to maximise his prospects of becoming a star.

Arriving as more of a rotational option with Hojlund, Zirkzee would offer competition in the attacking role and is more likely to be persuaded to be used in it.

AC Milan and Juventus are also reportedly interested in signing Zirkzee, and Bayern Munich have a buy-back clause after selling him to Bologna, so the Red Devils will probably face competition for his services.

Premier League clubs like Arsenal and Tottenham are also looking to sign the Dutch attacker, who has impressed this season for the Italian club.

In 26 leagues appearances, he has 10 goals and two assists for the Italian club.

United are in the running for Zirkzee’s signature, and it appears to be a competitive race. The Dutch striker is thought to be a better fit United than players like Kane and Osimhen, who are expected to fetch high transfer fees.
