Manchester United are interested in signing the Girona defender Miguel Gutierrez.
According to a report from Relevo, Manchester United have asked about the 22-year-old left-back and it will be interesting to see if they follow it up with an official proposal for the player.
Gutierrez is expected to be on the move this summer and he has been linked with multiple clubs recently. The 22-year-old had an impressive season with Girona last year and he scored two goals in all competitions and picked up nine assists along the way.
He can operate as the left-back as well as wing-back. He could add a new dimension to the Manchester United attack next season. The Red Devils could certainly use a quality full-back next season. Luke Shaw has had his fair share of injury problems and Tyrell Malacia has barely featured for the Red Devils. Gutierrez could prove to be an upgrade on both players in the long run.

Miguel Gutierrez might fancy Man United switch
The opportunity to move to Manchester United will be an attractive one for the player as well. He has a €35 million release clause in his contract and Manchester United have the financial muscle to pay up. It will be interesting to see if they decide to break the bank for the Spanish defender. Gutierrez has the ability to justify the investment in the coming seasons, and he could prove to be a bargain at that price.
The former Real Madrid defender has been linked with a return to Santiago Bernabeu as well. It will be interesting to see if Real Madrid decide to enter the race for him in the coming weeks.
