Man United legend Ryan Giggs hopeful of management return

Ryan Giggs has hinted at the possibility of returning to football management, according to The Mirror.

After resigning from his position as Wales manager due to accusations of abuse and controlling or coercive behavior, which he refuted, the Manchester United icon has been absent from the game for over two years.

After Giggs’ initial trial, the jury was unable to reach a verdict, and the Crown Prosecution Service eventually abandoned its attempts to retry the 50-year-old.

Although Giggs hasn’t had any offers to manage since then, he hasn’t ruled out accepting a position soon. At an event in Chester, when asked whether he may return to the dugout soon, he responded:

“I loved managing Wales, obviously. I do miss it so hopefully [I can manage again].”

If Wales aren’t able to make it to the Euros this summer, there’s a chance he could return again. Before facing Poland or Estonia in the championship game, Rob Page’s team must defeat Finland in their play-off semifinal.

One position that Giggs will not be accepting is at Salford City, a team he co-owns with the Neville brothers, David Beckham, and Paul Scholes, as well as other members of the ‘Class of 92’.

The Welshman confirmed: “No. No, we’ve just got a new manager in [Karl Robinson]. What does the future hold? I don’t know. At the moment, I am enjoying being more involved with Salford. I’ve enjoyed seeing the rise in the last 10 years. I’ve got a little bit more involved in the last six months and I’m enjoying that, to be fair.”

In addition to his tenure as Wales’ manager, Giggs managed Manchester United following the dismissal of David Moyes. During his four matches in charge, he won two, drew one, and lost one.
