It’s been 18 months since Tyrell Malacia disappeared from the Manchester United radar. Repeatedly injured, the Dutch left defender has not set foot on the pitch since and news has been scarce recently on his condition. Finally, the Red Devils broke their silence this Friday on their official website. Thus, we learn that the former Feyenoord player is close to a return.

Erik Ten Hag gave reassuring news about the 25-year-old: “Of course, we want to motivate him to come back, but it’s not so easy when you’re out for so long. It’s been more than a season now, since his injury, that he’s been coming back, but he’s working very hard, he’s progressing really well at the moment. He’s making great progress, so we think that in a short time we can expect him to be involved in team training, and he’s a talent, it’s natural. I also hope that he can come back on the pitch soon.»
