Manchester United are interested in signing Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid.

According to Bernabeu Digital, the 22-year-old midfielder is on their radar and Manchester United are prepared to take out their chequebook to get the deal done. They have already expressed interest in the French international midfielder through his agents, but the player is not keen on an exit from the Spanish club.

Although he is flattered by the interest shown by the Premier League club, he wishes to continue in La Liga with Real Madrid.

Manchester United need a quality central midfielder and Camavinga would have been an exceptional addition. He would have added defensive cover, control and composure to the side. He has shown his quality with Real Madrid and helped them win major trophies.

He knows what it takes to compete at the highest level and play for a big club where there is pressure to win trophies every season. On paper, he would have been the ideal acquisition for the Red Devils. Manchester United need a player of his qualities and it will be interesting to see if they switch their attention towards other players now.

Man United need quality additions

Manchester United have not been able to fight for major trophies in recent seasons, and they will be desperate to bounce back strongly under their new manager Ruben Amorim. They will need to bring in the right additions in order to compete with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City.

It will be interesting to see if they decide to dip into the January transfer window for reinforcements.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid have been pushing for major trophies regularly and Camavinga won the UEFA Champions League with them last season and the league title. He will want to continue with them and push for major trophies consistently. Manchester United are not quite at that level yet, and it is not surprising that the Frenchman is not keen on the move.
