Sofyan Amrabat was signed by Manchester United from Fiorentina over the summer on a loan with an option to buy.
At the end of current season, the Serie A team wants to know if the Red Devils would extend his stay at Old Trafford.
Calciomercato reports that Man United’s purchase option is valued at €25 million plus an additional €5 million in add-ons.
Since Manchester United’s goalless draw with Liverpool in December, the Morocco international has not made a start in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old has only played for fewer than 100 minutes since returning from the AFCON, however he did play for 90 minutes on Wednesday in the FA Cup victory against Nottingham Forest.
Amrabat has made 20 appearances so far this season, but according to the report, he hasn’t impressed at Man United.
Erik ten Hag’s team will decide in a month over the future of the Fiorentina-owned player.
As per Calciomercato, there are currently “big regrets on both sides” as Amrabat and Man United are expected to go separate ways in the summer.
After Amrabat’s performance at the World Cup, he was expected to get a big move and take his career to the next level. However, since joining United, he has failed to make a huge impact and there is no reason for the club to make his loan move permanent.
The emergence of Kobbie Mainoo has come just at the right time for the Red Devils. He has performed consistently whenever given the chance and made sure that the manager keeps picking him ahead of players like Amrabat and Scott McTominay.
