Manchester United’s transfer business has started with the arrival of Joshua Zirkzee at the club.

The Dutch attacker becomes the first signing of the INEOS era and more deals are expected to be completed soon.

The Red Devils are eyeing a new defender and a midfielder now having already sorted their attacking position.

The likes of Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Scott McTominay could be heading out of the club as manager Erik ten Hag revamps his squad ahead of the new season.

Interest has increased in the services of McTominay and due to that, Man United have set a new price tag for the Scotland international.

HITC reports that Manchester United are prepared to let go of McTominay for a sum of £40 million.

The midfielder was mainly used as a substitute last season by the manager and a move away from the club would benefit him as well as the club.

Man United could allow Scott McTominay to leave the club.

If United can manage to sell him for around £40 million, it would be a massive boost to the transfer budget of the club.

In another report from HITC, Fulham’s interest in signing the midfielder has been mentioned as they look for a replacement of Joao Palhinha, who has left the Cottagers to join Bayern Munich.

Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly also interested in signing the midfielder who has been at Old Trafford since the age of five.

Erik ten Hag is a fan of the Man United midfielder

Despite McTominay’s uncertain future at the club, the report mentions that ten Hag is an admirer of the midfielder and sees him as an important member of his squad at Old Trafford.

There is no doubt McTominay has helped the club on both ends of the pitch and won some crucial points from losing positions.

However, if the club can manage to get the price tag they have set for him, selling him would be a wise move.
