Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has reportedly spent a lot of money on a lavish property abroad, which has raised concerns about a potential quick move away from Old Trafford.
After leaving Inter Milan for a summer transfer of £47 million, Onana has had a disappointing first season, but it appears he is missing the Italian metropolis based on his recent action on the property ladder.
The 27-year-old had a terrible beginning to his Man United career, making a ton of errors, especially during the Champions League group stage, which led to the team’s dreadful bottom-of-the-table finish in the group.
During a disastrous second season under Erik ten Hag, in which Man United are among the poorest Premier League teams in terms of conceding opposition shots, he has conceded 57 goals in his first 37 games.
However, in more recent matches, Onana has shown glimmers of his excellent stopping ability and with the ball at his feet.
This season, only three goalkeepers have managed more clean sheets than him; David Raya, the leader in the Golden Glove race, has only two more than his seven. However, Ten Hag’s hazy future casts doubt on his recruits, one of them is Onana.
The Cameroonian international just purchased an exquisite eight-bedroom property in Corbetta, a suburb of Milan, for £5.5 million, according to FCInterNews.
As per the report, Onana is still in love with Milan and remembers his time spent at the San Siro, where he won the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana and advanced to the Champions League final last season.
