Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes has always been someone admired and appreciated by Saudi Pro League clubs ever since their project really started to take off last summer.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel, with the Italian journalist providing some insight into the speculation surrounding the Portugal international at the moment.
Fernandes has been a vitally important player for Man Utd since he joined the club back in 2020, and one imagines fans will be desperate for him to stay and try to help them get back to where they want to be after a difficult period.
Selling a player as important as Fernandes seems pretty unthinkable for United right now, so fans will be relieved to hear that Romano says the 29-year-old remains committed to the Red Devils.
Fernandes transfer: Saudi interest is there but is it realistic?
Bruno Fernandes in action for Manchester UnitedDiscussing how Fernandes might feel about taking up an offer from a club in Saudi Arabia, Romano said: “Since the Saudi Pro League project started more than one year ago, Bruno Fernandes has always been one of the players most appreciated by Saudi bosses, but at the moment it’s nothing concrete.
“Fernandes is fully focused on Manchester United and there are no talks – Bruno will not discuss anything until he knows more about the project at United, and possibly the change in manager, so there are many things to clarify at United first. Meanwhile, Fernandes has always been super committed to the club, so let’s see what happens.”

MUFC urgently need a rebuild of this struggling side, but Fernandes is surely someone they’ll want to keep and build their team around for the next few years.
It seems the former Sporting Lisbon man is happy to stay at Old Trafford, but it could be interesting to keep an eye on this one and see if a big offer from a Saudi club could change his mind.
