Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka could leave the club for the right price this summer as he heads towards the final year of his contract, with no shortage of interest in the player.

That’s according to Fabrizio Romano as the transfer news expert spoke exclusively to CaughtOffside for the latest edition of his Daily Briefing column, with the journalist making it clear there’s been interest in Wan-Bissaka since December.

For the time being, it seems there’s nothing particularly concrete going on with Wan-Bissaka, even if the 26-year-old has been linked as possibly moving to Inter Milan as part of a deal for Man Utd to sign Dutch full-back Denzel Dumfries.

Dumfries is seemingly facing an uncertain future, so United fans would surely be excited to see him join as an upgrade on Wan-Bissaka.

Still, even if AWB is being linked with Inter, it might be that he’ll move somewhere else instead, with his future seeming open, according to Romano.

Wan-Bissaka transfer: Man United defender could leave this summer, says Romano

“We’ve had many reports on Manchester United and the right-back position. One thing to say is that Denzel Dumfries, who is one name being linked, has good chances to leave Inter Milan in the next transfer window,” Romano said.

“He’s out of contract in 2025, but there is still no agreement over extending his deal, so it’s a really concrete possibility to see him leave for a new possibility.

“The Premier League could be an option for Dumfries, but at the moment a swap deal involving Dumfries and Aaron Wan-Bissaka is not being discussed. This swap deal is not expected, but let’s see what United decide to do with the right-back position.”

He added: “As for Wan-Bissaka, there’s been interest in him since December but at the moment, I’m not aware of negotiations for the player. It could be one to watch in the summer, because with one year left on his contract Man United could be open to selling him in case they receive a good proposal.”
