Manchester United have had a busy summer transfer window with a number of players joining and leaving the club.
The summer started with defender Raphael Varane and attacker Anthony Martial leaving the club after their contracts expired.
The Red Devils then signed Joshua Zirkzee to add to their attacking options and defender Leny Yoro after beating competition from Champions League winners Real Madrid.
Mason Greenwood and Donny van de Beek have been sold by the club and more players could head out soon including Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Scott McTominay.
However, there is one player who is not leaving the club any time soon and that is captain Bruno Fernandes.
Journalist Melissa Reddy has stated that Fernandes loves the club and he has no intention to leave the Red Devils.
The Portuguese midfielder was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain this summer but Reddy has no doubt that his future lies at Old Trafford.
She told United Stand’s YouTube channel:
“With Bruno, there were so many stories about him and the potential of him leaving. There was, you know, all the speculation, but never for one second did I think Bruno Fernandes was leaving Manchester United, because when you speak to him and when you spend time with him, you understand how much this club means to him.
Bruno Fernandes has no intention to leave Man United.
“He actually wears this club, like it’s on him all the time. He assumes so much responsibility. Now he gets grief sometimes because he can get frustrated on the pitch, and it becomes quite visible.
And that’s fair enough. I think that’s an understandable criticism. It’s the right kind of criticism. But he genuinely cares about this club, loves this club.”
The Man United captain scored 10 Premier League goals last season and provided eight assists.
Bruno Fernandes helped Man United to FA Cup glory
He was one of their best players in a season that was a constant struggle for the Premier League giants.
The attacking midfielder was instrumental in the club’s FA Cup win against Manchester City last season.
Fernandes has been the most consistent player at the club since joining the club and United cannot afford to lose him.
He brings goal scoring ability, creativity and the attitude to always strive for more.
United would have to spend a hefty amount to replace a player like Fernandes and frankly, there aren’t many available in the market like him at the moment.
