Manchester United have confirmed Mason Greenwood has left the club on a permanent basis to join Marseille.

The 22-year-old striker has not played for United since he was arrested in January 2022 for attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault. All charges against Greenwood were dropped in February 2023

Last year, United opted against reintegrating him back into the first-team and instead sent him out on loan to Getafe in Spain.

Greenwood was back at United’s training ground last Monday but was informed by the club’s hierarchy that he had no future at Old Trafford.
