It has been several weeks now that Manchester United’s interest in Manuel Ugarte has been known. As we revealed, the Uruguayan is inclined to join the English club. But he still has to wait for an agreement to be reached between the Red Devils and Paris Saint-Germain, as we revealed. According to some English reports, the Parisian club is asking for a sum of around 70 million euros for its 23-year-old midfielder. A significant sum for a player who was recruited for 60 million euros, from Sporting Club.

Furthermore, if negotiations do not succeed for Ugarte, Manchester United have already found an alternative, who currently plays for the Portuguese club. According to Correio da Manhã, the English have identified Morten Hjulmand as plan B. The 25-year-old midfielder revealed himself with the Danish selection during Euro 2024, where he scored a splendid goal against England (1-1).
