Manchester United have sent scouts to watch Porto stars Francisco Moura and Samu Aghehowa ahead of the January transfer window.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, with United boss Ruben Amorim keen to ensure the club are ready to move for top players when funds are made available.
The Red Devils wish to recruit a new striker and left-back with the club thought to be considering a number of options in both areas of the pitch.
Porto left-back Moura has now been added to their wishlist with United scouts watching him in action during Monday’s 2-0 win over Casa Pia.
United scouts were also sent to keep an eye on Porto forward Aghehowa, who scored twice in a 3-3 Europa League draw against the Premier League side in October.
Moura only joined Porto in September 2024 but after a series of impressive performances, he has already attracted transfer interest from United.
The 25-year-old is thought to have a €60 million (£49.7m) release clause in his current contract with the Portuguese club.
Like Moura, Aghehowao only moved to Porto in the most recent summer transfer window but is already being targeted by bigger European clubs.
Aghehowao, 20, has conjured up 13 goals and an assist in 16 appearances for Porto across all competitions to date.
Other strikers on United’s wishlist include Victor Boniface, Victor Osimhen, Randal Kolo Muani and Omar Marmoush.
As for left-backs, United are keeping tabs on Milos Kerkez, Theo Hernandez and Alphonso Davies.
United have entered a new era after Amorim replaced Erik ten Hag as the club’s manager.
Amorim knows the Portuguese league inside-out, hence United’s interest in Porto duo Moura and Aghehowa.
