The 22-year-old Uruguay international has struggled for game time this term and normally comes off the bench for the closing stages of matches.
Pellistri, who moved to Old Trafford four years ago, has been an unused substitute in United’s last three Premier League fixtures.
He was handed just three minutes in the FA Cup win over Wigan just over a week ago and according to the Manchester Evening News, Pellistri is now expected to join Granada on loan.
Pellistri has made a total of 14 appearances for the Red Devils this season, most notably against Bayern Munich and Crystal Palace in the Champions League and Carabao Cup, where he played 81 minutes and 90 minutes respectively.
It will be the third loan spell in La Liga for Pellistri since joining United after two seperate stints with Alaves in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 campaigns.
Pellistri made 35 appearances for Alaves and is now set for more valuable experience in the Spanish top-flight.
He is the second United player to be loaned to Granada this term after Alvaro Fernandez, who joined them for the season but was recalled on January 14.
There are currently two United stars already out on loan in Spain with Mason Greenwood at Getafe and Hannibal Mejbri at Sevilla.
Greenwood insists he is ‘happy’ at Getafe amid transfer speculation over his future, with the player attracting interest from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
