Paul Parker has urged his former club Manchester United to sign two England U21 international stars who can become ‘heroes’ at Old Trafford.
Parker, who played 146 games for United from 1991 to 1996, wants the Red Devils to complete a stunning double transfer swoop in the summer.
The first England U21 international star Parker wanted to see United recruit is Southampton’s versatile 19-year-old attacker Tyler Dibling.
The Saints teenager has enjoyed a breakthrough season at St Mary’s and could be sold at the end of the season amid the club’s looming relegation.
Southampton currently sit rock bottom of the Premier League table with nine points as they look to avoid the record lowest points total in history.

Despite a disastrous campaign, Dibling has been somewhat of a silver lining, with a number of impressive performances for the south coast side.
Dibling, capped twice by England U21s to date, has mainly operated as a right winger this term but can also play as a centre-forward or as a central attacking midfielder.
Parker also wants United to bring in Liam Delap from Ipswich Town this summer, who has made a total of 10 appearances for the Young Lions.
Delap has shined at Ipswich since the 22-year-old forward joined the Tractor Boys from Manchester City in the summer of 2024 for £20m.
The son of former footballer Rory Delap, the Ipswich star has scored 10 Premier League goals across 26 top-flight games so far this season.
Like Southampton, Ipswich are in danger of suffering relegation this term and Delap could be put up for sale in the summer transfer window.
‘100 per cent, Man United should look at Tyler Dibling and Liam Delap,’ Parker told mybettingsites.co.uk.
‘For Delap, you have to look at what Man United need, and they need a striker who is hungry and wants to prove a point. His dad wasn’t anywhere near being the player his son is, so I am sure he is proud of where his son is and what he is doing.
‘Delap has to choose a club where he is guaranteed game time and I am sure he is looking at Man United to give him that.
‘For Dibling, he would be looking at the Man United midfield and think to himself: I am better than all of them. He can run with the ball, he can pass the ball and he can score goals. He runs beyond as well.
‘Man United should be looking at both of them, but it is also about whether they are ambitious enough to go to Man United or if they want a move to clubs who are functioning a bit better, but maybe doesn’t have the same status.
‘But if they want to make a name for themselves, make it at Manchester United, because it will be known everywhere. They have the chance to change something and become heroes, and that should mean something.’
