Kevin De Bruyne had velvet words for one of Manchester City’s summer recruits.
Savinho confirmed his current good form against West Ham (4-1) this Saturday in the Premier League. Present on all the good shots, the Brazilian right winger, behind Vladimir Coufal’s first own goal, provided two assists to Erling Haaland.
The great performance of the former Girona member earned him the praise of Pep Guardiola, the Citizens coach, as well as his teammate Kevin De Bruyne. On the sidelines of City’s second consecutive success after several weeks of crisis, the Belgian attacking midfielder spoke of the potential of the child from São Mateus and his acclimatization in the Eastlands.
De Bruyne trusts Savinho
“I think his talent is obvious,”
declared KDB at the microphone of the BBC. “He started the season really well and then had a difficult time like the whole team, which is normal. But he has exceptional qualities. It’s good for his confidence (to see him decisive, editor’s note) and he makes the difference for us. »
With 25 appearances in all competitions this season, Savinho has started 17 times, accumulating one goal and eight assists. As a reminder, Auriverde joined the Etihad Stadium this summer from Troyes, for an amount of 25 million euros excluding bonuses.
