Manchester City have told Saudi Pro League clubs what they must pay to sign star player Kevin De Bruyne this summer.
Saudi Arabia are continuing on their quest to poach football’s biggest names, with De Bruyne and Liverpool talisman Mohamed Salah among their top targets.
With both out of contract in less than 18 months time, it is hoped that a significant offer will be enough to convince the Premier League giants to part ways with the pair.
Two high-profile City player were sold to the Middle East last summer, namely Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte.
De Bruyne will be 34 by the time his deal expires, but it is said that City have no intention of cashing in on the attacking midfielder, despite barely featuring this season due to injury.
In fact, talkSPORT report that the Citizens have slapped a £100million price tag on the Belgian international in order to deter potential bidders.
Furthermore, the treble winners are ‘relaxed’ about the situation and could even offer their star player a contract extension.
Though fitness problems have restricted him to just over 500 minutes of action this campaign, De Bruyne has still managed to score twice and make eight assists, with City far better when he is on the pitch.
Pep Guardiola will certainly need De Bruyne a lot of the coming months as they look to win a record fourth straight Premier League and defend their FA Cup and Champions League crowns.
City have the chance to close the gap to league leaders Liverpool to just one point on Saturday evening when they travel to Bournemouth.
But De Bruyne’s involvement in the match is not assured after he missed the last game against Brentford, with Guardiola coy on his fitness status.
The manager said: ‘He’s not injured. I don’t know if he’s 100 per cent but I think we took a good decision not to take a risk [against Brentford].’
