Lucas Bergvall has become a man in demand in the current transfer window with the Djurgardens midfield talent on the radars of multiple top clubs in Europe, including FC Barcelona.
The 17-year-old talent has enjoyed a breakthrough year in Sweden, which has made him one of the most sought-after talents.
As has already been reported, along with Barcelona, the likes of Juventus, Bayern Munich, and Eintracht Frankfurt are all pushing to sign Bergvall from Djurgardens.
Manchester City, Brighton enter race
Now, though, talkSPORT is reporting that two clubs from the Premier League, Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion, are also interested in signing Barcelona target Lucas Bergvall.
Indeed, as per the report, Manchester City have scouted the 17-year-old Swedish prodigy and are weighing up making a move for him in the summer transfer window.
Meanwhile, Brighton are also very much keen on the promising midfielder and are hoping that their reputation for nurturing young talents gives them an edge in the race for his signing.
Barcelona offering €6 million
As has already been reported, Barcelona are offering €6 million to Djurgardens for Bergvall. At the same time, Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt are ready to pay €10 million and the player’s club are pushing him to accept that proposal.
However, Bergvall has his heart set on a move to Barcelona and wants to join the Catalan giants as a priority.
But with more and more clubs entering the scene, it remains to be seen how things progress in the coming days.
