Manchester City could be involved in transfer talks with Saudi Arabia soon, this time involving the potential transfer of recent signing Mateo Kovacic.
Just last summer, the 29-year-old moved from Premier League rivals Chelsea to the Etihad Stadium after Manchester City approved a transfer said to be worth about £25 million.
The Croatian international was added to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City squad as a like-for-like replacement for Ilkay Gundogan, who ended his remarkable career with Sky Blue by joining Barcelona on a free transfer.
Although the former Real Madrid player has needed some time to get used to life under Pep Guardiola, his recent performances have undoubtedly improved, and they culminated in a magnificent goal that helped City defeat Luton 2–6 in the FA Cup fifth round.
Mateo Kovacic’s stay at Man City, nevertheless, could not last very long if a new story about his potential departure from European football in the next months is to be believed.
That’s based on information from HITC, who claim Mateo Kovacic may be leaving Manchester City for Saudi Arabia this summer.
In his thirty appearances in all competitions during his tenure with City thus far this season, Kovacic has notched two goals and delivered an additional assist.

He has failed to make a permanent place for himself in the starting line-up and his days at the Etihad could be numbered.
