Manchester United’s transfer window is looking very coherent. After completing the arrival of their new striker, Joshua Zirkzee, and Lille central defender, Lény Yoro, the Red Devils were still working to strengthen their defense before the end of the transfer window. With the arrival of Jim Ratcliffe as new co-owner, the Old Trafford resident was aiming big and two names had been mentioned: Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt, who both play for Bayern Munich.

According to information from The AthleticManchester United have now reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to sign Dutch centre-back Matthijs de Ligt (24). Subject to passing a medical, the former Ajax and Juventus player will join United on a five-year contract, which includes an option to extend for a further 12 months. All in a deal estimated at €45 million, plus €5 million in add-ons.

A three-cushion shot for MU

As we announced, everything was already wrapped up for Moroccan right-back Noussair Mazraoui (26 years old), who will also sign for the next five seasons (+ one optional) with the Red Devils. Bayern accepted a proposal of 15 million euros, plus 5 million euros in bonuses, from Erik ten Hag’s team, who will be able to count on two major recruits in defense. At the same time, The Athletic reports that the arrival of the Moroccan coincides with the situation of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, on the verge of leaving MU.

West Ham United have agreed a €18m fee with Manchester United for Wan-Bissaka, with negotiations with the player over the length of his contract being finalised and a medical already scheduled for Sunday or Monday with the Hammers. A three-way coup for Manchester United, who have not yet finished their transfer window as a midfielder is expected after the probable failure of the transfer of Manuel Ugarte.
