Manchester United have today confirmed that Lucia Garcia will be leaving the club when her contract expires at the end of June.
It means her time as a Red Devil draws to a close after just two years, during which she scored 11 Women’s Super League goals.

The 25-year-old also played an influential role in United claiming their first-ever major trophy in the form of the FA Cup last season, scoring twice in the final as the Reds overturned Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 in front of a packed-out Wembley Stadium.

Her exit is expected to be followed up by a widely speculated move for Mary Earps, who is also out of contract this summer. The Lionesses goalkeeper is closing in on a move to Paris Saint-Germain amidst United’s best efforts to keep hold of her.
