It’s January and the transfer rumours are in full swing.

You should be old enough to know it’s not wise to believe everything you read, and I we’ve got another speculative (at best) report to bring to your attention regarding Manchester United in the transfer market.

Spanish publication, Fichajes, have dipped into their creativity pool with a claim that alongside Paris Saint-Germain and Man City, United have set their sights on Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior.

All three clubs reportedly want to add the world-class addition to their attacking line-up and it’s not hard to see why. Vinicius has scored 6 goals and registered 4 assists in 15 appearances for Real Madrid this season and he is regarded as one of the world’s best forwards.

The report suggests this is a possibility due to Real Madrid being focused on bringing Kylian Mbappe to the Bernabeu.

It’s not like the La Liga giants would be planning to keep both Vinicius and Mbappe in their squad since they occupy the same position.

Mbappe may be set to leave PSG in the summer, but I think we are a few years away from trying to sign the likes of Vinicius because there is still a lot of work needed in the team. It would be a fantastic season, but I can see us missing out to a team competing in the Champions League. That’s just the sad reality of where we are right now.
