Manchester United right-back Diogo Dalot has been granted more responsibilities by Erik ten Hag this season.
We’ve seen the full-back operate on both flanks as well as in central midfield, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if he was kept in the summer, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka likely to be moved on.
According to WhoScored, Dalot has the best tackle success rate (88%) in the Premier League this season.

United’s defence has been unsettled this season due to injury problems with Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof, Raphael Varane, Luke Shaw and Wan-Bissaka all having their respective spells in the treatment room with various niggles.
Dalot has contributed two goals and two assists this season. That is from a total of 29 appearances across all competitions.
Let us know in the comments section if you think Dalot is good enough to be United’s long-term right-back. I have always imagined Ten Hag wanting a full-back who registers more goal contributions.
