Manchester United are weighing up a summer move for Switzerland star Dan Ndoye, his agent has confirmed.

Switzerland saw their Euro 2024 campaign come to an end last Saturday after a penalty shoot-out defeat to England at the quarter-final stages.

Ndoye was one of their most impressive performers during that run, scoring against hosts Germany in the group stage and providing the assist for Breel Embolo’s opener against the Three Lions having been a constant threat against Gareth Southgate’s side.

The 23-year-old is one of three Bologna players to have starred for Switzerland but with their competition over, focus has now shifted back to Ndoye’s club future.

Reports in June claimed United were among the clubs monitoring Ndoye, who demonstrated his versatility by playing at wing-back, on the right and left of attack and up front during the Swiss campaign in Germany.

Ndoye is also a player who may also be on the radar of Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS staff, having previously played for Lausanne and Nice earlier in his career.

‘It is good that United are interested in Dan,’ Fahd Adamson told Blick. ‘It is somehow logical as well. United belong to INEOS, and Dan has already played for the other INEOS-owned clubs in Nice and Lausanne.

‘He received countless messages from English clubs after the quarter-final against England. Let’s see what emerges from them.

‘We must discuss Dan’s future with him and his family. We need to weigh things up well, to prevent him making the wrong career move.’

Bologna, who qualified for next season’s Champions League, face losing a number of their players with United already in talks to sign one of them in Joshua Zirkzee.

The Netherlands international has agreed personal terms over a move to Old Trafford and is expected to become the club’s first signing of the summer.

The club are also in talks to sign defenders Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro and Jarrad Branthwaite.
