Manchester United are interested in siding the Bayern Munich winger Mathys Tel.
Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg has revealed that Manchester United have now made first contact with the German club to discuss a potential move.
The 18-year-old French winger has been a useful squad player for Bayern Munich but he will be hoping to play more often in the coming seasons. Tel is a prodigious with a big future ahead of him as he needs regular football in order to continue his development and fulfil his potential.
If Manchester United can provide him with that platform, they could be an attractive destination for him. It will be interesting to see if Bayern Munich are prepared to sanction his departure at the end of the season.
The winger has a long-term contract with the Bundesliga club until the summer of 2027. They are under no pressure to cash in on him and Manchester United might have to pay a substantial amount of money.

The Red Devils could use his pace, flair and goalscoring ability from the wide areas. He could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for the Premier League club and he might prove to be an upgrade on players like Antony and Jadon Sancho in the coming seasons.
The winger has six goals and three assists to his name across all competitions this season.
The Red Devils spent a substantial amount of money on the two wingers, but they have been quite underwhelming since joining the club. Manchester United need to bring in alternatives and their interest in the French winger is hardly a surprise.
