Dutch footballing legend Edwin van der Sar is looking healthy and well following a brain haemorrhage.
The former Manchester United, Fulham, Ajax and Juventus great was placed in intensive care on July 7, 2023 after falling ill while on holiday in Croatia.

The goalkeeping great reassured fans that he was okay by posting a photo in hospital with his wife a week later, but he’s been out of the public eye ever since.
Now he’s sat down with Dutch outlet De Telegraaf ahead of a soon-to-be-released podcast.
In a short preview clip, Van der Sar looks fully recovered as he says: “My health is doing well. I didn't get much damage from it, I think.

“But I have never spent a day in the office from 9am to 5pm. But no, I'm fine.”
The 53-year-old also revealed that he’s been spending time in the Caribbean with his wife, but joked he wasn’t in Curacao as there’s ‘too many Dutch people’ in the former Netherlands colony.
Van der Sar had a glorious career as a keeper, winning eight league titles and two Champions Leagues with Ajax and Manchester United.
Retiring in 2011, the Voorhout native joined Ajax as an executive and was named their CEO in 2016.
In May 2023, just two months before his brain haemorrhage, Van der Sar stepped down from his role, saying he needed ‘distance and rest’ after a trophyless season for the Dutch giants.
