Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is under pressure to keep his job this summer, with reports suggesting a decision has been made by the club to sack him regardless of the result in Saturday’s FA Cup final against Man City.

That isn’t something you want leaked just one day before taking the team into an FA Cup final. His second in two years may I add.

The Guardian claim Ten Hag will be sacked no matter te result of Saturday’s fixture. This news comes after United finished eighth in the Premier League, failed in Europe but still have a chance of winning silverware this weekend. Can it end just how we want it to?

Meanwhile, the Manchester Evening News understands United have been working under the assumption Ten Hag will be in the post next season, although Sir Jim Ratcliffe has never been completely sold on the Dutchman.

Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna is the favourite to take over, if United sack Ten Hag. Mauricio Pochettino and Thomas Tuchel are among the other leading candidates.

Current odds on Manchester United’s next manager
