Reports suggest Manchester United are willing to prioritise a move to sign Rosenborg wonderkid Sverre Nypan.
The 17-year-old has ‘long been on United’s radar’ with various reports in the past suggesting that scouts were monitoring his progress.
Stretty News relayed reports from April that feelers were put out for the talented youngster back in April.
Furthermore, Norway’s TV2 stated in September that United had scouts in attendance to watch Rosenborg take on Lillestrom SK. The Reds weren’t alone as a scout from Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen was also spotted at the match.
According to TBR Football, United want to ‘strike a deal’ with Rosenborg – but they will face competition from rivals Man City.
As a versatile attacker, who can play in midfield or up front, has 11 goals in 54 appearances for Rosenborg.
It also bodes well that Norway has produced two players who are currently at the top of their game as it shows the region is thriving at producing world-class footballers. Erling Haaland is collecting goalscoring records in the Premier League for fun, and Martin Odegaard is finally living up to his expectations at Arsenal.
Can Nypan become the next Norwegian sensation in the Premier League?

Nypan is renowned for breaking through at Rosenborg and showing an exceptionally high football IQ for his age. He oozes creativity, can play with both feet and adapted to senior football quickly.
The question is whether he can bring that to the biggest league in world football? It would be a mighty step up but Nypann has the potential to warrant such an opportunity.
Only time will tell if Nypan is will be a red.
