Manchester United legend Paul Scholes was very critical of Erik Ten Hag after the setback against Tottenham.

Manchester United hit rock bottom on Sunday in the Premier League by losing at home to Tottenham (0-2). The start of the season for the Red Devils is disastrous and Erik Ten Hag, the manager of this team, could well pay the price. According to rumors circulating, his fate could be sealed this week.

The Dutch coach is in a very bad position. And in the British media, we don’t hesitate to push it. After the rout against Spurs, Paul Scholes, an icon of the club, notably took shots at him.

Ten Hag severely pointed out

Scholes criticized Ten Hag management and the United team’s lack of style despite the Dutchman having been there for several seasons. “We don’t know how they will play. We don’t know how they will approach the matches, if they will play on the counterattack, if they will stay back or if they will try to have all the possession of the ball. We have no idea. It looks like a football team without a coach”he thundered.

“Since the first week when Ange Postecoglou took office, we probably knew what Tottenham were doing and that’s what they are still doing today,” continued the famous redhead.

“United are two years behind and, as I said, they are a team that is not coached,” continued the former midfielder. The players looked dead today, they looked flat, they looked like they didn’t know what to do, there is no enthusiasm for football and that can only come from coaching”.
