Manchester United are scouting Sevilla winger Juanlu Sanchez, but it’s nothing more concrete than that for the moment, according to transfer news expert Fabrizio Romano.
The Red Devils will no doubt have their scouts monitoring a number of the best young players all over the world, so it’s not necessarily that newsworthy that a talent like Sanchez is one of the names they’re keeping an eye on.
Speaking exclusively to CaughtOffside for his latest Daily Briefing column, Romano certainly suggested that this was just normal scouting, so just a case of Man Utd keeping tabs on an up-and-coming talent rather than monitoring him specifically because there’s anything particularly advanced in terms of transfer talks.
It may even be that United will scout Sanchez for some time and then decide they’re not interested in taking it any further, so this very much seems like something at a really early stage for the time being.
Juanlu Sanchez is being scouted by Manchester UnitedSanchez transfer: Romano on Man Utd links with Sevilla youngster
Discussing the Sanchez links as he’s been mentioned as being on the radar of both Man United and Real Madrid, Romano said: “One name coming up as well as Eze is Sevilla winger Juanlu Sanchez, mentioned as a target for the Red Devils and also for Real Madrid in the Spanish press. For now, however, there is nothing concrete into it.
“We’ve had many links every day but the reality for the moment is that there are no talks, no negotiations – it’s just normal scouting and nothing else.”

MUFC fans may well keep an eye on Sanchez as well in his games in La Liga now, but it will probably be some time before we know if this is really anything that serious and worth getting excited about.
Sevilla do tend to cash in on their best players when big clubs come calling, though, so it will be interesting to see if Sanchez becomes their latest high-profile sale.
