Manchester United scouts in Argentina to watch Boca Juniors take on Talleres

Boca Juniors took on Talleres today in a scoreless draw and Manchester United scouts were in attendance.

According to Planeta Boca Juniors, Manchester United were set to have scouts at the match at La Bombonera to monitor several potential targets ahead of the summer transfer window.

The report in question does not specify which players are of interest to the scouts, but United have been linked with Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino in recent months.

Anselmino, 19, is tipped for big things in the future but it remains to be seen if United will be active in the South American market. We have seen other European clubs exploit the market and we’ve missed the boat on many top players as a result.

A move to United this summer may come too soon for Anselmino, but what is stopping us from signing the player before loaning him out to an Italian side interested in a young centre-back?
