Cyber-attacks have sadly become a norm.
A Microsoft outage in July led to mass destruction across the digital world. For Manchester United and other Premier League clubs, it prevented the sale of match tickets.
The club was left with no other choice but to suspend ticket sales two weeks ago. It was a complete inconvenience for supporters trying to access the ticketing website.
Jadon Sancho has since confirmed that his TikTok account has been hacked.
After United suffered a 3-0 defeat against Liverpool on Saturday, Sancho issued a 13-word statement via Instagram revealing hackers had gained access to his TikTok account.
The England international, who boasts over 800,000 followers, said (via Manchester Evening News): “My TikTok has been hacked so if it messages you it isn’t me!”
So, a word of advice: ignore any messages from Sancho on TikTok, unless he’s calling the manager a liar.
