Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has linked up with the England squad ahead of Friday’s friendly against Iceland at Wembley.
It will be the final warm-up match for the Three Lions before Gareth Southgate cuts his provisional squad and selects the 26-man squad that heads to their tournament camp in Erfurt, Germany.
All 24 teams heading to Euro 2024 have a deadline of Friday June 7 to submit their final 26-man squads. It remains to be seen if Southgate will wait until the last minute, with three United players making the provisional squad.
Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw made the initial cut but must prove their fitness after undergoing recovery with the national team. The third United player in contention for a place in the England squad is Kobbie Mainoo, who is looking to appear at his first major international tournament.
Mainoo linked up with the England squad on Tuesday after being given a small break, which was given to players who featured in the FA Cup final over a week ago.
The official England account on X shared a video of Mainoo linking up with his international teammates.
