Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino is doing everything he can to impress scouts as he continues to get linked with a summer move to Manchester United.
The interest was initially reported by Bola VIP and the speculation has been ever present since.
The 18-year-old outshone former United striker Edinson Cavani, by scoring the winning goal in their recent outing, but it was a milestone moment for Anselmino as his first-ever professional goal.
It was a classic defender’s goal on the youngster’s ninth appearance for the senior team, after making his Boca Juniors debut last year.
Anselmino found the back of the net with a header at the near post from a set piece.
Reports have suggested that his impressive performances have led to interest from Manchester United and AC Milan.
Speaking about Anselmino’s potential, Boca legend Roman Riquelme told Ole: “He looks bigger. He is going to compete with everyone. He has a huge future, in concentration, he watches football all the time, he has the seriousness of a great person.”
That is rich pair for the youngster and it’s clear to see why he is highly thought of in his homeland.
Sadly, the night ended on a sour note for Anselmino as he suffered an injury at the beginning of the second half.
Ole claims it is a muscle injury which is expected to keep the young defender out of action for up to three weeks.
