Valencia midfielder Javi Guerra has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
It had been suggested earlier this month that United’s interest in Guerra arises amid the strong possibility of Paul Mitchell’s arrival at the club.
The 20-year-old has established himself as a key player for Valencia this season and Relevo previously stated that they believe a price between €35m-40m will be demanded for his signature. That same report claims United have been monitoring the midfielder by sending scouts to Valencia matches.
Now, however, Guerra has said he wants to stay at Valencia ‘for many years’ after breaking onto the scene last season. He has also been linked with a move to Juventus.
Guerra said (as per Football Espana): “Of course, I would like to continue here for as many years as I can because in the end the club have given me everything and allowed me to fulfil the dream I have had since I was little and the truth is that I am very happy here in my city with my family and everyone around me, I couldn’t ask for more.”
The 20-year-old came through Valencia’s youth system and has a release clause of €100m, which is more than enough to fight off interest from clubs in January.
