Manchester United’s Brazilian striker Antony, aware of the criticism, refuses to give up and announces a more prolific season.
Antony has not yet said his last word. Having arrived at Manchester United from Ajax Amsterdam in the summer of 2022 for the sum of 95 million euros, the Brazilian striker has not yet managed to justify his transfer.
After two seasons at Old Trafford, the right winger’s record remains disappointing, especially considering his second year with the Red Devils. Indeed, this season, Antony has scored only 3 goals, only one of which came in the league, and provided 2 assists in 38 games.
Antony promises renewal
As the next season looms, Antony, under fire from critics, wanted to send a message to his detractors and reassure Manchester supporters.
“This season will be totally different”the Sao Paulo native told Daily Mail.
“Rest assured, you will hear Antony’s name in connection with goals and assists!”
