The summer transfer window is currently sluggish. A breakdown that can be explained by several reasons. In addition to international competitions that inevitably delay the decisions of players who have put their future on hold, France is also impacted by the uncertainty of TV rights. For all these reasons, and others, the transfer window has not started. However, this promises us explosive weeks ahead with transactions from all sides. The beginnings of such a scenario are confirmed through rumors that have started to circulate throughout Europe in recent days. For the moment, PSG is spared from these rumors.

At the end of an interesting season for Luis Enrique’s first on the bench, the capital club has nevertheless lost Kylian Mbappé, a departure that has been confirmed for several months now. Apart from this scheduled free transfer, Paris is calm. Apart from the arrival of a Matvey Safonov sure of his strength, and who sent a message to Gianluigi Donnarumma this Tuesday, the capital club has not done anything crazy and is relatively spared from the rumors. However, Sky Sports has given information that could well unblock a new soap opera about the upcoming summer. This Tuesday, the British media claims that an English club is eyeing Manuel Ugarte.

Manchester United are all about Manuel Ugarte!

And not just any club. Indeed, according to our colleagues across the Channel, Manchester United is looking for a midfielder to strengthen its position next season. As a result, the name of the Uruguayan from PSG is in the Red Devils’ good books. For the moment, the English media does not specify whether the 23-year-old player is the Manchester club’s priority for this position. However, the latter explains that Ugarte is a profile monitored by the board of the last winner of the FA Cup. Recruited last summer by Paris Saint-Germain for 60 million euros, the former Sporting CP player had a mixed season.

Impressive in his ability to recover balls and go into combat, Ugarte was quickly adopted by the Parisian supporters. A starter during the first months of Luis Enrique’s mandate, the Uruguayan gradually lost his place following the advent of Warren Zaire-Emery, the meteoric rise to power of Vitinha and the Iberian coach’s preference for Fabian Ruiz. A departure could therefore allow him to be a starter in a major club in England. PSG could then recover a nice sum of money for the player under contract until 2028 with the capital club.
