Manchester United win award at Football v Homophobia event

Manchester United picked up the Professional Club Award at last night’s Football v Homophobia event.

Football v Homophobia exists to challenge discrimination based on sexual orientation, gender identity and expression at all levels in football.

The campaign does not receive any core funding and is mainly run on volunteer time.

The award was given for United’s work to promote allyship and eradicate discrimination from the game, and specifically the club’s One Love Live event which was ran with Adidas.

United also work closely with the LGBTQ+ supporters club Rainbow Devils, who should feel a degree of honour in the award for all they do.

The aim is to make sure football is for everyone and we can proudly say that United are part of that.
