Manchester United youngster Maxi Oyedele joined Forest Green Rovers on Wednesday but the loan move has started with the League Two strugglers sacking manager Troy Deeney.

Just a day after arriving at the club, the League Two side sacked Deeney as manager following six matches in charge.

Deeney was given his marching orders after just 29 days as Forest Green Rovers manager, after he accused his players after Saturday’s home defeat of “hiding” and “being scared”, as per Sky Sports.

The Watford legend also labelled his players a group of “sulkers” so the dressing room will probably be happy to see the back of him…

However, Deeney later said he should not have slammed his players so much and accepted he let the emotions of management get the best of him.

My only worry as far as Oyedele is concerned is did the club want to sign him or was he one of Deeney’s target. It won’t be an issue if he gets game time under the next manager, but it’s a situation United will be paying close attention to in the coming weeks.

Hopefully Oyedele can settle despite all of the noise in the background at Forest Green Rovers. Furthermore, they  need to get their act together if they want to avoid relegation this season.

Rovers chairman Dale Vince told the club’s official website: “These are decisions nobody likes to make, but we have acted this way to give FGR the best possible chance of improving results and climbing the league table.

“We wish Troy all the best for the future and thank him for his efforts.”
