I think I’m ready for a new challenge. The day I leave, it will be without hard feelings. I will not make any negative comments about Manchester United.» Despite his comments on December 17, the departure of Marcus Rashford from the Red Devils is more difficult than expected. The Englishman is not of interest to many major English or European clubs, in particular because of his extremely high salary. Few teams can claim to pay at least part of his emoluments, he who receives 325,000 pounds per week (390,000 euros, or around €1.5 million per month).

Only Turkish and Saudi teams have tried. This is the case of Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli and Al-Qadsiah, who tried their luck but without success, reports the Manchester Evening News this Thursday evening. According to the English media, the 27-year-old player simply refused the offers from these three teams. One of them, however, offered a salary of €40 million per year. Rashford does not want to give up on Europe and remains convinced of being able to find the selection newly led by Thomas Tuchel in order to be part of the 2026 World Cup. He also refused a departure to Turkey.
