Following his goal in the 2-2 draw between Manchester United and Tottenham at Old Trafford, Marcus Rashford was hilariously trolled on social media by one of his teammates.

The 26-year old Manchester United star has faced criticism this season for his poor performances. He has only scored four goals in 20 Premier League appearances this season.

However, the England international scored against Spurs alongside Rasmus Hojlund and put in a brilliant display in a closely contested match.

Rashford’s goal in the first half of the Red Devils’ match against Tottenham was his first goal at Old Trafford in seven months.

Even with strong performances from Hojlund and Rashford, United could not maintain their advantage against Spurs and had to settle for a draw.

Rashford moved to social media to express his delight at finally scoring at Old Trafford once more.

“It’s a great feeling to have scored again at OT,” he wrote on Instagram.

“I want to thank the fans who always support me and the team.”

Brandon Williams, who is on loan at Ipswich Town, couldn’t resist the chance to make fun of Rashford.

“You remembered where the net was at OT? Finally, we’re winning the league,” Williams wrote.

One of Erik ten Hag’s biggest worries this season has been the link up play between his forward players. On Sunday against Tottenham, Rashford and Hojlund combined well with each other giving hope and optimism to the United faithful.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who was at Old Trafford for the first time since his partial takeover, must be impressed by some of the attacking combinations on display but he would know that a lot needs to change for United to get back to the top again.
