IMG Credit: WWESwitch it up. There are all kinds of events on the WWE calendar, with most of them being regular weekly television shows. However, there are also events that do not take place every week and are special events that only happen once a year. WWE had one scheduled for later this year but now they have moved it around and put it at another point on the calendar.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: WATCH: WWE Introducing New Championship, Tournament Announced
WWE had previously announced that NXT Battleground would be held in Savannah, Georgia on May 26. However, according to PWInsider.com, the event is being moved to June 9. According to WrestleVotes, the show will also be moving to the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. There is no word on why the change was made, though the May date is also the date of AEW Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas.
Hearing rumblings of a significant schedule change, I’m told the NXT Battleground event will be moving off May 26th to June 9th. With the location shifting as well as Savanna, GA will no longer host the show. NXT Battleground will take place live in Las Vegas at the UFC Apex.

Battleground has been a good show for WWE before. Check out some of the things that have happened there before:
Opinion: AEW announcing Double Or Nothing earlier this week and Battleground being moved later in the same week does not sound like the biggest coincidence. Assuming that is the case, it’s a smart move from WWE, as there is little reason for NXT to try and go head to head with a major AEW show. Let the show have its own day and give the fans a chance to watch both.
