It’s the worst kept secret in the world. Barring a last minute twist, Vinicius Júnior will indeed be the 2024 Ballon d’Or, elected next Monday at the Théâtre du Châtelet, in Paris. In an interview given to TNT Sports BrazilMarquinhos spoke on the subject and indicated that Vinicius was indeed his favorite, ahead of Bellingham, Rodri or even his former teammate Kylian Mbappé: “the Ballon d’Or? It’s clear, it’s already Vinicius’s, it’s his. It’s time for the Ballon d’Or to return to Brazil.”
