A tough blow for Liverpool. While the English club, which has still not signed a new recruit this summer, was thinking of securing the services of Martin Zubimendi, Relevo tells us that the deal fell through.

The Reds were willing to pay the Real Sociedad midfielder’s €60m release clause. However, the Spanish media outlet claims that Zubimendi has decided to say no to Liverpool and therefore stay in the Basque Country. In exchange, he will soon sign a new contract with a very nice salary increase.
