Mason Greenwood to leave Manchester United for Marseille

Manchester United are on the verge of selling Mason Greenwood to Marseille in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. The well-known and well-respected journalist has reported that Greenwood will travel to Marseille on a private jet arranged by the club to undergo a medical.

Romano wrote on X: “Mason Greenwood to Olympique Marseille, here we go! Deal in place between all parties.

“OM have booked private flight for Mason to land in Marseille, undergo medical tests and sign.

“Deal valid until June 2029. Man United to receive €30m package plus 50% sell-on clause.”

Greenwood has been on the books of United since 2007 and has come through the Red Devils’ youth system. The forward spent last season on loan at Getafe and did well for the Spanish club. The 22-year-old scored eight goals and provided six assists in 30 starts and three substitute appearances in La Liga for Getafe last season.
