After returning to Manchester United training on Monday, Mason Mount took to social media to let his fans know that he is back.
The 25-year-old was pictured with the first-team group at Carrington a day after the 7-0 win over Barsnley in the Carabao Cup third round.
Mount has missed the last three matches with a hamstring injury after being substituted at half-time in the 2-1 defeat to Brighton.
“Back with the mad man,” Mount captioned an Instagram post showing him and Rasmus Hojlund during Wednesday’s training session.
Hojlund replied in the comments section: “Enjoying being out there with u masi.”
Sky Sports ran a report on Wednesday night stating that the duo had returned to training.
Hojlund shared the same photo along with the caption: “I guess being a football player the caption should be ‘happy to be on the pitch again’, but I think the photo says it all.”
It will be a boost to have both players back available because it gives Ten Hag more options in attack. Hojlund will be determined to get amongst the goals and Mount needs to find a role in the team. They both need to fight their way into the starting line-up.
