CM Punk has been on a roll since beating Seth Rollins during the January 6th Netflix debut of WWE RAW. He then followed it up with a solid promo segment during the January 13th RAW as well and now the mastermind behind the promo has been revealed.
Fightful Select reported that Alexandra Williams was credited as the writer for the promo segment featuring CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre on the January 13th episode of Raw on Netflix.
As seen during the January 13th episode of Raw, live from San Jose, the Second City Saint kicked off the show by announcing his entry into the Royal Rumble, joining John Cena in the match.
Seth Rollins interrupted, declaring that he was also entering the Rumble and vowing to end Punk’s WrestleMania dreams by eliminating him. Drew McIntyre then joined the mix, accusing Punk and Rollins of being self-centered and calling Rollins a “fake leader.” Punk challenged them to settle things with a fight, but McIntyre instead revealed that he, too, would be entering the Royal Rumble.
Alexandra Williams’ work on the CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Drew McIntyre segment simply shows WWE’s focus on delivering engaging storytelling. The tension between these WWE Superstars has fans excited for the Royal Rumble and the potential storylines building toward WrestleMania 41, so we’ll have to see how WWE will book their angles in the coming weeks.
