11:00 PM UPDATE: WWE has provided an update on the condition of Austin Theory and Carmelo Hayes.
You never know what can happen in the pro wrestling world, and that is especially true when you’re on live television. The January 12th episode of SmackDown featured a spot in a match that did not end well, and things were called off.
Austin Theory and Carmelo Hayes were having a match on SmackDown this week, but then things did not end well. The match was called off, and both men were left on the mat.
Carmelo Hayes and Theory did a move off the top rope, and both men landed weird high on their shoulders. This was not the way that spot was supposed to go, and Carmelo Hayes didn’t move after that.
Grayson Waller jumped in the ring, along with WWE medical staff. They tended to then, but Austin Theory seemed to be able to sit up.
We will have to see what happens in this situation. It was certainly a scary spot, and we’re hoping for the best. For more updates, please stay tuned with us here at Ringside News.
